Mr. Darby began his legal career at Woodburn & Wedge, the oldest law firm in the State of Nevada. While at Woodburn & Wedge, Mr. Darby’s practice focused on representing creditors and secured lenders in bankruptcy proceedings and litigation matters, as well as representing business in various corporate matters. Mr. Darby thereafter accepted a job offer with Downey Brand, LLP, a large multi-state law firm with offices in Reno, Nevada. While at Downey Brand Mr. Darby continued to focus his practice on bankruptcy-related matters, primarily representing banks and other creditors.

Ultimately, Mr. Darby determined that working for banks and large institutional creditors was less than fulfilling and decided to cross over to the other side to represent individuals and small businesses facing financial distress by founding the Darby Law Practice to provide bankruptcy in Reno help to consumers and small businesses. Since making that decision, Kevin has represented countless individuals and small businesses in out-of-court debt restructuring and workouts, as well as Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.

As an experienced Reno bankruptcy attorney, Kevin has been sought after as a speaker for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Small Business Development Center at the University of Nevada, Reno, and various other local business organizations.
